September 4, 2010 New research from scientists at Yale School of Medicine have found that “disease-causing genes that show a high frequency of self-repair.” They found just one single mutated copy of a gene known as keratin 10 “causes a severe skin disease known as ichthyosis with confetti.” Any advancement in dermatological research is a step forward in the prevention of diseases.
